Elder Hunter Hassell Mission

  Great week everyone lemme tell ya. we had a lesson we needed another guy for and we had little notice but we were pulling all the stops. As the lesson drew near we were going to just meet at a shop with this lady but that had a huge downside because of the chaotic environment. Suddenly 15 minutes before we meet a Brother pulls through and we are able to have a highly spiritual lesson. I also was able to say grace and a food kitchen we served at which was kinda cool. and we also put one of our friends on date for baptism! And lastly we went golfing today elder hassell

  Hello hello! Hope you all are having a most blessed monday evening. Super hot week but the grind goes on. We had a first visit with some members last monday, had them in a lesson with a friend on Friday did some service for them on Saturday and they brought a friend on Sunday. It was pretty awesome and the lesson with the lady too it was the second person we taught in this area about the Plan of Salvation that absolutely loved it. Loved it so much infact that she shared it with her mom. The gospel is amazing. love, elder hassell

  Ive run out of greetings but of course we could use a typical New England greeting so "how ah ya!" Pretty good week we did a lot of tracting and found a couple people. Some of the places were so worn down and rough but those places tend to lead to humble people that except our message. We had to stop teaching our golden friend jane because her family didnt want us seeing her anymore and she was in a rehab place. that one hurt. But we ran into this transgender person and had a wonderful discussion with her and had a second visit that went great too! i also found out today that i am  g a r b a g e  at bowling hahha but my comp broke 100 and another missionary got 196. love yall -elder hassell

  Good evening just want everyone to know we saw a bear while tracting. A massive bear. Just going through this persons trash! It was absolutely legendary. We had another person threaten to kill us if we got on their property. But we found an absolutely golden person. We got a "self referral" or request from this person to visit with us. So we had called her but she never answered so we went to go visit in person and it turned out to be a rehab center but we were able to get in and we found her! She told us she actually didnt request it but listened to us anyway. We ended up teaching her a whole ton and she was so interested that we came back the next day. We taught her about the plan of salvation and she absolutely loved it, so much so that she told us she stayed up until 3 in the morning reading the book of mormon and the Plan of Salvation pamphlet! Super coop lady. Oh yeah so now i am in Avon/Canton and we are literally 2 mintues from the Temple! We actually got to go this...

 Good evening  Pretty fresh week, we were out and about and had just finished a lesson with someone and we saw this lady. The conversation went something like this her oh you look like Christians! me yes maam her are you mormon? me yes, well The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but yes her ah i see you guys out knocking doors sometimes, but you guys have never knocked on mine.  me well we better knock your door then! (her door was pretty close, we were in an apartment complex) her alright lets go do that so we proceeded to knock her door then just sat outside together and she opened up to us about wanting her faith and she wanted to have bible studies with someone so of course we offered and bing bang boom. i also gave a pleasant talk. oh and now im being transferred to Avan/Canton CT. We had another guy that we started talking to that was preparing to become a Pastor. Current game plan, teach correct principles, he teaches his congregation correct principles....

  Good morning lovely people. had a pretty fast week! We were able to baptize one of our friends! she was super prepared and her grandpa who was a member was able to baptize her:) i also finished off my third journal this week and that was kinda crazy because ive never kept a journal before. also one member taught us a ton about Israel and its actually one of the coolest subjects! anyways not to much else to report elder hassell

  Id probably describe this week as a grind. One day we had a friend cancel and it made the day real open so so we just went and knocked a couple neighborhoods and it was pretty grueling cause of how hot it was. Another day tho we were about to head home but we decided to go check if one of our friends was around and as we walked there (we were in the hood) people would yell "aye blessings man" to us and do a cross of kiss or something and we invited a bunch of them to church and afterwards had an awesome conversation with the person we were looking for:) id say it was a mega win. we also saw another vulture in the road, a family of skunks (crossed in front of us) and a deer this week -elder hassell

  Sa k pase, had a very adventurous week and had a whole lot of stuff happen but ill keep it simple • a ex convict yelled in my face (literally) • saw a vulture • realized i wasn't as committed to God and the gospel and had a whole change of heart and now I'm all in and trying to be exactly obedient • saw a guy just pee on a wall • one of our friends had a cool goat that liked me • moved a 100 lb jada plant • moved an 800 lb chicken coup • saw a stork -elder hassell

  Good afternoon everybody! We had transfers and stuff and i got a missionary who came out with me! It was pretty exciting and we have been on that absolute grind. We have a new friend who is a little funky but anyways at the end he taught us how to pray with our eyes open our hands not folded and heads not bowed  quite the experience. We also saw a guy do a wheely on his motorcycle. And went to a casino to blow our extra money. just kidding there was just a panda express there. We had a cool time with this random guy who really appreciated us and prayed for us. thats about it!!! elder hassell

  greetings *fancy text*      past couple weeks have been so amazing and incredible and ive learned so much! we had a mission tour with a general authority last week and it was incredibly inspiring. we have also seen a ton of miracles over the course of these past weeks. we were out knocking doors that we had in our records and this lady answered and we asked for the person but she said she didnt live here and asked who we were and we told her we were missionaries and she stepped outside and asked if we could just talk to her! turns out her brother who was pretty religious had just past and she was wanting to just turn more towards God. she also said she would come to church and everything:) we also found this other person that was was taught by missionaries in the past that we called up and she has been super prepared over the time we werent in contact. I also caught a rainbow trout and saw a turtle:)) yours truly *fancy text* elder hassell 

  Hey everyone thanks for tuning into another email!  pretty good week this week we had some cool miracles and we did some cool stuff! So story time, last year when i was hear in Norwich we did service on a community farm. We had recently started going there with other Elders as well and there was a lady there who would tell us the things we needed to do. So anyways fast forward a year and were back and this week we went to that same farm! and the lady was also still there and when we had started coming she was a rough person who was kinda grumpy and didnt smile much. BUT when while we were there this last week i noticed how much happier and light she seemed, and she was smiling a lot more! Of course there could be many reasons but i think her being around multiple missionaries multiple times a week has brought her some light and joy. We also randomly found a less active family and they gave us some of the fish they caught:) -elder hassell

 super great week guys. so we had the transfers and they took a while (along the way i learned how to uninstall and install tiwi) then boom were finally in Norwich CT. the areas pretty dead so we have been outside absolutely grinding and we were able to see some fruit that sunday! we met some Thailand people and got there number and shared the restoration with them and then our man Paveen showed up to church! We also found and taught a jamaican dude so that fulfilled one of my dreams. a lot of the ward remembered me from last year and it was awesome to be back.  elder hassell

Hello brothers and sisters. Past couples weeks bouta blow your socks off. Last week was incredible and we had a flawless baptism and this week we found a bunch of amazing people! Our friend Pat who found us from a youtube ad also is preparing for baptism this week and same with our other friend Jacqui! buuuuuut sadly neither i nor my companion will be there for it. We are both transferring out of the area. Nonetheless the work of the lord shan't ever be hindered! Wherefore sisters are to be the ones over this beautiful area! love yall have a great week elder hassell

 This week blew by faster then the east wind blows through the common new englanders dark red hair. We had an awesome meal with one of our members and someone we were teaching already and one of their friends and it was a 1000% a 5 star meal  The friend was a haitian and my haitian speaking companion hit it off well with him. Also general conference was amazing and we got a ton of our friends to watch it :) We also started teaching a Jehovah's Witness. Gotta wrap it up there  elder hassell

  Alright lets begin. To start of this amazing week we need some background. President Brough wanted all of us to get better at in person finding and invited everyone to not do any technology this week and be outside the whole day. So me and elder Wright were outside and finding this whole week. Ive never seen more miracles in a week in my whole mission. We started off the first day a little rough but during the evening we ran into these people outside and they were needing help moving this generator and afterword the husband invited us in! Another day we had been knocking a bunch of doors with no success then we ran into a woman walking her dog and had a great conversation and got her info! Another night we had a run in with cops haha but we found another lady walking her dog. Then on Saturday we absolutely went off! We found 14 new people! One was an absolutely crazy miracle. We were looking for someone in this apartment complex but her name wasnt on the buzzer. We decided to jus...

  Hey guys this week went by exceedingly fast. We had a zone conference on Wednesday and it was such a powerful and inspiring experience! We also had a lot of new people that we were able to teach about the restoration of Christs gospel. The days have also been getting warmer and street contacting has never been better. We were in salem the other day and that places whole theme is witches and the devil and stuff, we even have one of our friends whole lives right next to the satanic temple. Anyways as we were talking to people we found a bunch of normal people but we also so some people fully decked out in basically Halloween costumes haha but it was good stuff. Thats about all, PEACE AND LOVE elder hassell 

  Hullo brothers and sisters this week was a pretty nice week. We had transfers and my comp got booted to Cambridge! My new comp came in and he has a violin and i played it and it was real fun haha. We had more snow this week and some good visits with people but we had no new friends:( Not a whole lot else to report this week, i did start listening to Saints and it is super good!   Whats up guys this week was a legendary ranking week. We had kaylees baptism on Saturday and it was so beautiful. Me and Elder Burrell gave the baptism and Holy Ghost talks and they went super well! We also had an awesome surprise during our district council. So that morning me and elder burrell prepared a rushed training for the district and ran out the door. When we had reunited with our fellow missionaries it was but 4 minutes when our mission president walks in! It was close to the same level as if the prophet walked in and wow what a guy. As we did our training President would add these comments and suggestions that were basically like injecting stereoids into our training. We all left feeling super edified, motivated and absolutely spiritual pumped. We also had exchanges and i got to be with my mtc comp which was super cool! So many more miracles too this week but im short on time! elder hassell our young 9 year old convert horseradish jelly

Hey guys not a ton to report this week haha we did catch another mouse tho! We had few days that were super nice and we were able to do a lot of street contacting and knocking but the new England changed its mind and we got over a foot of snow. We had one of our friends at church and he showed us his teeth for the first time and holy cow.. i think it gave me nightmares. Turns out he doesnt brush, he just uses mouth wash so all you kids out there, BRUSH YOUR TEETH! I forgot to mention last week on sunday i actually conducted the sacrament meeting hahaha it was pretty interesting. You may have watched the person conduct a thousand times but somehow its completely different and a little nerve racking when your doing it. We also started teaching a guy whos dad was an orthodox Jew and mom was an orthodox Roman catholic and now hes just trying to find his place in religion haha anyways have a great week! elder hassell single picture of some amazing Mexican food :)))))  

  And were back! Sorry i missed last week but we got some exciting stuff these past few weeks. To start we had a mouse scandal but my totally awesome companion smashed it with a shoe (on his hand!!!!) and then we caught another one with a mouse trap and so ill take that victory, even though elder burrell was still the one to throw it away lol. We had a funny experience with one of friends too, we were at his house having one of our lessons with him and he suddenly says hes pretty tired and was gonna lay down. So he get into his bed, which was in the same room! But we were not detoured!!!! So i whipped open my book of mormon and said "Fred were gonna read to ya." And we read all of Alma ch 32 to him as he layed in bed hahaha Also my the whole district has got into Kendamas, i got one last week and theyre pretty good fun. We have a baptism coming up this week and put another one of our friends on date much love  elder hassell
